We thank our outgoing chairperson Jimmy Okello for his long-time services to GGT and welcome two new board members.
Jimmy Okello, a co-founder of GGT, has served two full terms as the chairperson of the GGT board. His family will continue with GGT but he is stepping back from board tasks. Everyone at GGT thanked him for his continuous service, and surely, he will still be an active parent to support all educational efforts for our students.
We welcome two new board members, each of whom is a mother of multiple GGT students. Kellie Seger, our teacher liaison, is an experienced educator, and Maureen Ninsiima, with her organisational leadership experience, is the new chairperson.
Working with these people shows the importance of guidance and mentorship in building future talent. Sports teach discipline and teamwork at an early age, creating skills that last a lifetime.
